Kishan-Bagaria:-Whizz-Kid's-Magic-Wand

Twenty-six-year-old Kishan Bagaria is a tech genius in his own right. The self-taught computer nerd developed an app that Integrated all the messaging apps, such as WhatsApp, Twitter, Instagram, and Telegram into a single dashboard for easy accessibility. After sharing his novel innovative idea with his friends and receiving encouraging feedback from them, he built a prototype, Texts.com. His innovative idea spread quickly on social media, gaining traction among industry experts.

Kishan studied up to 8th std. in Don Bosco School, and underwent further education in Agrasen Academy in Dibrugarh, Assam, India. According to Kishan, he is a self-taught person who does not have a higher education. He gained all the necessary knowledge through the Internet. He had been developing small windows applications since he was a 12-year-old. His ambition has always been to be part of the tech community and to set up his own company.

Born to Mahendra and Kavita Bagaria, Kishan dropped out of school after 10th std. In spite of his son's discontinuation of education, Mahendra Bagaria did not give up hope but showed faith in him. According to him, his son has been a tech enthusiast since his childhood days. Although he did not have any formal technical training, it was inherent in him. He used to develop small software with the knowledge he acquired from the Internet. His elder brother is in the US and is into crypto marketing. Kishan's move to the US, which is home to Silicon Valley, proved to be a game changer.

Watershed Event

According to his parents, Kishan possessed an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. Delving into the vast realm of the Internet, he leveraged it as his primary avenue for learning and inspiration. In 2020, he embarked on developing a messaging app after recognising the need to develop a single app that integrated dozens of messaging applications in the market. He hit upon a novel idea to create a platform that would integrate all into one single interface. Thus, he conceived Texts.com, which revolutionized how users   interacted with various messaging services. Instead of toggling between different apps, Texts.com enables users to access all messages on a unified platform.

It's his passion and enthusiasm for technology that drove him from his hometown in Assam to Silicon Valley, where he wished to further develop and expand Texts.com. He received support and encouragement from his elder brother who has been living in the US.

Unique Features of Texts.com App

Unlike traditional messaging platforms, Texts.com acts as a hub that connects to popular services, such as WhatsApp, Instagram, Twitter and others. Its unique features focus on user experience and privacy.  For instance, with its end-to-end encryption, chats remain secure, with messages never touching Texts.com servers, because encryption happens directly within the connected platforms. It has a convenient feature that enables users to schedule messages for optimal delivery times, mark messages as unread for later follow-up, and receive summaries of lengthy missed group chats. Moreover, it prioritizes user data security, as all communication happens on the user device, and hence no sensitive data is stored on Texts.com servers. The app is suitable for macOS, Windows, and Linux.

Several tech firms evinced interest in acquiring the app. Among those who wanted to buy it was the owner of WordPress and Tumblr, Matt Mullenwag. After being highly impressed with Kishan’s innovation, he acquired the texting platform for a whopping $50 million (Rs 400 crore). In appreciation of the young talented boy he conferred upon him the title, "generational tech genius." The whizz-kid's innovation has also been esteemed highly by owners of Vercel and Superhuman, as well as by those affiliated to Stripe, Coinbase, Twitter, Facebook, Snap and others. Even after the acquisition of the platform, he is associated with it.

The acquisition of Texts.com by Matt Mullenwag was a whirlwind of emotions for Kishan. Initially, he kept his parents uninformed about the exact amount under negotiation. However, news outlets blew the lid off by disclosing the details of the deal, which caught his parents off guard. The proud parents were in seventh heaven.

Texts.com, under the new ownership, has the potential to revolutionize how we manage our digital communication. Kishan's  story serves as a testament to the power of innovation and the enormous possibilities within the tech world.
